FEATURES AND BENEFITS
RGT Rouse is a mid to late flowering subterranean clover from the waterlogging-tolerant, white-seeded yanninicum subspecies. This group copes with wet feet far better than most sub clovers and is well suited to soils prone to waterlogging or higher annual rainfall. It excels in regions where the growing season extends into mid to late November, maintaining quality feed later into the season.
RGT Rouse also resists a range of clover diseases and has moderate hardseededness, meaning a portion of seed remains dormant and helps protect against seedling losses when a false break is followed by dry conditions. As a self-regenerating annual clover, it sets seed, rebuilds from the soil seed bank, and returns free feed while fixing atmospheric nitrogen year after year.
FARM SUITABILITY
An option for soils prone to waterlogging or higher annual rainfall, with mid maturity offering early season performance. Graze until flowering, then reduce the stocking rate to promote seed set.
Suitable for all stock classes, providing palatable, high protein legume feed through the early to mid season.
Sow at 10kg/ha as the sole subterranean clover, or 5kg/ha when blending varieties to spread maturity.
